We should be free to make our own choices, right? But if there are no boundaries, isn’t that called chaos? So maybe we do need rules. But who’s rules are the right rules? If we make the rules ourselves as a society we have ourselves to blame for the outcome don’t we? As we have seen, the rules change with each mood swing. We put people in jail based on feelings as a result, not on a set criteria for right or wrong.
As a child, it was so nice that when you didn’t have the answer for something, you could often go to a parent or a teacher and they would know what to do. So what if you didn’t need to look for the answers within ourselves? What if we could find a consistent and unchanging set of rules that won’t change and aren’t based on human feelings?
You guessed it. God’s law. Unchanging, outside of ourselves. Think of the Bible as an independent third party.
